We see the former Moloko singer Róisín Murphy with the songs 'Something More', 'Sing it back' and 'Overpowered' at the North Sea Jazz Festival 2023 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
In recent decades, Róisín Murphy has developed into one of the most innovative and mercurial pop stars of her generation. The 49-year-old Irish singer-songwriter is always ready to take on any creative challenge, and she is able to cross multiple genre boundaries with tremendous ease. In the mid-90s, she had major worldwide hits with songs such as Sing It Back, The Time Is Now and Fun For Me as the duo Moloko, together with Mark Brydon. She decided to go it alone though in 2003, creating her own bright star within the musical galaxy, through an avant-garde mix of disco, jazz pop and electro.
