This record release show is to celebrate the third album by trumpeter and composer jaimie branch’s quartet, Fly or Die. Titled Fly or Die Fly or Die Fly or Die ((world war)), the night will begin with never-before-seen footage of the late artist and her band’s final concert together, for which they played their latest record in full to a live audience in Nebraska. There, the beloved artist is seen in all her glory, playing against a backdrop of her own artwork.

Directly following, Rob Mazurek, Ambrose Akinmusire, Dave Ballou and other surprise guests will come together to pay tribute to their friend, student and collaborator, jaimie branch.

This performance is presented live in Roulette's theater in Downtown Brooklyn. Roulette’s mission is to support artists creating new and adventurous art in all disciplines by providing them with a venue and resources to realize their creative visions and to build an audience interested in the evolution of experimental art.
