Live Tonight on Millennium Stage: Founded in 2008, the Baltic Jazz Trio is a collaboration of three outstanding jazz artists from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. Their music is elegant, fresh, and characteristic to the Baltic region. Each of the musicians is a leading force of the jazz life in his own country and they have performed at jazz festivals on both sides of the Atlantic. The Trio has released two albums—Baltic Saga and Centenary—with music by Baltic composers Arvo Pärt, Pēteris Vasks, and Mikalojus Čiurlionis. They are performing at the Kennedy Center in honor of the Centennial of Diplomatic Relations between the United States and Baltic countries.
