This CD reissue is quite brief (just 32 minutes) but it does give one a pretty definitive look into the style of tenor-saxophonist Teddy Edwards. Accompanied by pianist Walter Davis Jr, guitarist Phil Orlando, bassist Paul Chambers, drummer Billy Higgins and percussionist Montego Joe, Edwards plays three of his originals plus a trio of standards. His warm tenor (alternately boppish and soulful) is heard at its best during "On the Street Where You Live" and "But Beautiful."
