❝ “Bluff” is the project of four young jazz musicians based in Hamburg. The quartet follows its own inspirations, based on contemporary jazz. For example, role models like Ambrose Akinmusire or “The Bad Plus” are clearly visible in the music. The functional principles of the cast are almost outrageously simple: the music is created together, the melody is served. After each dynamic outburst, “Bluff” finds its way back to the sophisticated simplicity of its own musical style. A few weeks ago, the quartet had the honor of recording its original repertoire at the Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg and is presenting this work live for the first time on hamburg.stream. ❞
