Flavio Boltro Quartet - I Remember Clifford

Flavio Bortolo, born in Turin, Italy, is one of the leading jazz trumpeters in Italy, and this is his debut album on Venus Records. He has performed with Fabrizio Bosso, a trumpeter who also leads the Italian jazz world, pianist Danilo Rea, Nicola Conte, and many others. On his own albums, you can hear performances reminiscent of Miles Davis. His debut album on Venus Records is a masterpiece of soulful trumpet playing dedicated to the genius trumpeter Clifford Brown. Clifford Brown: A master trumpeter who played with such greats as Art Blakey, Charlie Parker, and Sonny Rollins, and passed away at the young age of 25.
