Bach - Gleichwie der Regen und Schnee vom Himmel fällt BWV 18 - Sato

The cantata Gleichwie der Regen und Schnee vom Himmel fällt, performed by the Netherlands Bach Society conducted by Shunske Sato, is one of Bach’s earliest. Later, in Leipzig, Bach wrote a version to which he added recorders. In this performance we’re opting for the original version, without wind or high string instruments, which creates a dark timbre. Recorded for the project All of Bach on September 21th 2019 at the Groote Kerk, Maassluis.
